The situation of the house gives easy summer access to splendid walking, riding, canoeing, fishing, golf and many other sporting and recreational activities. Tennis courts are a very short drive. In winter, skiing is available at a number of nearby resorts. Hunting and Speleology (caving) are also available. The Spanish border is a short drive and the excellent road network makes access to Toulouse, Pau, Lourdes, Barcelona and Biarritz possible for short excursions.

One can explore the garden grounds discovering a rose garden, a sunken herb garden, a white wisteria clad pergola, an exotic garden, a bamboo walk & a large pond (unfenced but away from the house) with a bog garden & stepping stones with many beautiful mature trees in the park.
